Loren and Mr. Hsing stand together on May 26, 1970, the day after graduation from Morrison Academy in Taichung. Mr. Hsing was “Mr. Everything” around the Morrison campus including gatekeeper and hot water tank stoker. His faithful firing of the coal burning hot water tanks in the boys and girls dorms gave us piping hot water for showers morning and night. In the background is the front circular lawn of the campus where Loren’s father dropped the parachute with goodies in April 1960 as described in a previous photo.
